Another lifesaver- Subway expanded it’s $5 footlong deal to every sub! Can’t beat 2 feet of sweet onion chicken teriyaki for 10 bux to feed 2 dudes on the run. First time I had one was in a Subway in Ireland (probably the only non-fried foot I ate on that trip). Been hooked ever since as there isn’t much else I would probably eat in the way of non-boarshead cold-cuts. But to be honest I’ve probably only had 4 feet of chicken teriyaki in all of 2008 b/c I couldn’t afford the sandwich at 8 bux plus, and generally it’s stuff I’ll only eat on the road. Same with McDonalds, which I get sick of pretty fast. Wendy’s is my usual fast-food fix b/c they have decent chicken on the dollar menu. I’ll be getting my fill of Subway though I’m sure, if they make this new stimulus promo as standard as gov’t bailouts for gas-guzzling car companies …
